Programs

Daily Programming

The New Heights Christian Community Center is open to neighborhood children on Monday through Friday each week. Daily activities include homework tutoring, arts & crafts, Bible class, chapel, computer learning, organized games, and snacks.

After-School Hours

4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Each day, the children receive tutoring and homework assistance.

Children participate in crafts and activities before the daily devotional.

Scheduled Events

New Heights schedules several events throughout the year. These events serve to reach out into the community, provide activities for the children, and supply the children and their families with needed resources.

Back-to-School Supply Giveaway

The back-to-school giveaway helps to furnish the children with needed school supplies at no cost. Collections are held at several local churches during the month of July. The school supplies are then gathered, sorted, and prepared for distribution at the store held in early August. Annually, two hundred children participate in this event.

Many churches and individuals donate school supplies to make this outreach opportunity possible.

Hope-for-the-Holidays Christmas Store

Each year during the holiday season, New Heights offers food, clothing, and toys for families in the community. Items are donated by local individuals, schools, businesses, and churches. With the assistance of volunteers, New Heights helps parents experience the joy of providing for their children.

Families, receive food, clothing and toys at the Hope-for-the-Holidays Store.

Field Trips

Many fun and educational field trips are planned throughout the year. These provide children with a greater awareness of what is available to them in and around the city of Nashville.

Children enjoy an outing to the Frist Center for the Visual Arts.

Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.
